In the late 1990’s, Sharon took the opportunity to live in California close to Napa and Sonoma. Sharon’s love of knowledge and science drew her into a career in medicine where she worked as an ICU nurse for nearly 10 years. Growing up as a first generation Canadian with European parents, Sharon learned to appreciate fine wine before Ontario wines were considered “fine”. Sharon spent her childhood and teen years in the heart of Niagara when the Ontario wine industry was just evolving with the likes of Brights Wines’ Baby Duck to the early viniferas from Chateau des Charmes.
